Every tape has been checked for quality . Most of the tapes are in near perfect condition but If there's a problem, we'll tell you. You won't have to "guess" about what you are getting. Our goal is for YOU to be happy with your purchase. If we make a mistake there's no need to get angry. TELL US ABOUT IT. If it's humanly possible, we will fix the problem to YOUR satisfaction!

Some time ago, we were fortunate to have been able to purchase a very large tape library that at one time resided in Los Angeles, California. The library belonged to a company that did consumer testing and research for the music industry. There are hundreds of tapes in this collection. Some are single artist tapes and some are multiple artist tapes. Because WE LISTEN TO EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY TAPE it takes a lot of time to go through them. We will get them listed as regularly and frequently as possible.
The tapes come in several formats. 15ips 2 (or half) track, 15ips 1/4 track, 7.5ips 2 (or half) track and 7.5ips 1/4 track. ALL TAPES BEING SOLD ARE ORIGINAL!
There is a clear line of title to all of the tapes in the collection. They are 100% legal for you to own however, "OWNERSHIP OF THESE RECORDINGS (TAPES) DOES NOT CONVEY, TRANSFER, GRANT OR IMPLY OWNERSHIP OF ANY COPYRIGHTS, MASTER RIGHTS, BROADCAST, PERFORMANCE OR ANY OTHER RIGHTS TO THE MUSIC RECORDED ON THEM.

WE HAVE TAKEN THE MRC 10.5-INCH REELS APART AND ARE SELLING THE SONGS INDIVIDUALLY OR GROUPED BY ARTIST. There are two pictures shown in this auction listing. The first picture is the tape and box you are bidding on. The second picture is the original box and label that shows the songs that were on the reel as we got it. THIS PICTURE IS PROVIDED AS PROOF OF ORIGINALITY ONLY. THE WINNER DOES NOT GET THE BOX OR LABEL SHOWN IN THE SECOND PICTURE.
Up for auction is this 15ips 2 track Master Tape of the Jermaine Jackson & Whitney Houston song, "Shock Me" from the soundtrack to the film "PERFECT" album. The tape is beautifully recorded and the sound is fabulous! There is leader at the head and tail of the reel. It is recorded in the NAB format with no noise reduction.
This tape has been properly dehydrated and will play perfectly when you get it. Like all Ampex 456 and Scotch 226 tapes, it will need to be "baked" again sometime in the future. How soon depends a lot on the climate where you live. A warm damp climate will require baking sooner and cold dry one will require baking later. It's that simple. The tape played perfectly on our machines. It comes on a 5" reel and in the box shown.
All tapes are shipped tails out (they need to be rewound BEFORE playing!)
