Research shows that the company Magtec, who was producing the great Dolby Stereotape 7.5 ips reels when they were still sold in stores, were also the producers of all the clear reel Columbia House releases. This tape sounds incredibly good, even in the era when all prerecorded reels were made at 3-3/4 ips. Most likely attributed to better tape, and a company with much respect and background in reel to reel production.

Fully loaded with memorable favorites from the hottest band of the 70's. There is great stuff on this one.

Of course, like all reels, you can close your eyes and feel like Ace, Paul, Gene & Peter are right there in your living room, as there's as certain quality to reels that captures every nuance, and brings it back so realistically that virtually there is no difference between what was recorded and what your ears hear even 45 years later. Reels are the most true to form media for true 1:1 lossless distribution of a studio master's original content. But you already know that. If you don't, here's a great reel to get started with. Don't start getting into reels with Englebert Humperdinck and Tom Jones, you'll damage your perception of how awesome this hobby can be.
