DEPECHE MODE A Broken Frame ULTRA RARE FULLY AUTOGRAPHED UK LP A1/B1 1ST PRESS
Hand Signed for Adrians Record Store in Wickford Essex at time of release.
Living in Basildon in the 80’s, Depeche Mode were heroes of all of us. When their albums were released, we always went straight into the local record shops buying them on the day of release.
The record was purchased from the legendary Adrians Record shop in the High Street in Wickford. Being the largest and most famous record store in Essex, they had managed to get the band to agree to sign a handful of their albums, and offered them to regular customers, luckily I was one.
Because of the special nature of the album it was hardly played (being recorded onto tape immediately), and since then has been kept in a protective plastic sleeve, along with the rest of my collection.
Not being a record dealer I have to be a bit careful on grading this. There are, to me, no obvious signs of damage or scratches and the vinyl retains a lovely glossy black sheen. So I guess the condition is near mint, but I am no dealer.
The outer picture sleeve seems almost perfect, as I say it has been protected by a plastic sleeve, there is a faint round mark at the top right corner and what appears to be a small droplet mark in the middle of the bottom of the cover, neither of these really notice except when you look carefully in different lights.
Now for the autographs, these are genuine and hand signed, I will include a certificate of authenticity but they will stand up to any inspection you car to have. Three of the signatures are in Blue Biro, David Gahan, Alan Wilder and then the “lots of love Andy Fletcher” the fourth autograph of Martin Gore is in Black Biro. The inner sleeve seems in great condition with no splits or marks, just some slight wear.
Depeche Mode have gone on to worldwide success and this is a unique piece of memorabilia from the bands earliest days.
