Used from the early sixties

The box is solid. Some rubbing seen and a bit of paper chipping on the rear.

The tape appears intact and taut.
There isn't any notation written on the front tape label or on the box

This reel format existed appx. from 1958 through 1964.

Developed by RCA, it attempted to combine the best attributes
of LP records and reel-to-reel tapes. The ease of flipping Side A
to Side B replicated LPs. This was coupled with tape's great

advantage of noiseless sound reproduction. Plus, the user
never had to thread tape onto an empty reel again.

It should have been successful. Of course, years later the

format had a rebirth with the introduction of cassette tapes.

The sound tape cartridge of the 60's, though, could travel through
recording heads twice as fast and with tape twice as wide as cassettes.

This fact could result in better recordings.
