Expanded to a 2LP set that includes many tracks making their debut on vinyl
Pressed on 2-180g vinyl records and comes in a deluxe old-school
tip-on style gatefold jacket with an insert and new liner notes.
Although she was never considered a Northern Soul artist in her own right, her
efforts contributed a great deal to the formation of the genre. She was the first UK singer
to top the New Musical Express readers’ poll for Female Singer. To boost her credibility
as a soul artist, she went to Memphis to record “Dusty In Memphis,” an album of
pop and soul music with the Atlantic Records production team. Released in 1969, it has
been ranked among the greatest albums of all time by Rolling Stone and in polls by
VH1 artists, and NME readers. The album was also awarded a spot in the
Grammy Hall Of Fame. Despite its recognition, the album did not sell well upon release.
After the album was released, Dusty relocated to America where she experienced
a career slump for several years. However, in collaboration with the Pet Shop Boys, she
returned to the Top 10 of the UK and US charts in 1987 with “What Have I Done To Deserve This?”
Two Years later she had two other UK hits on her own with “Nothing Has Been Proved”
and “In Private.” In the mid-1990s, owing to the inclusion of “Son Of A Preacher Man”
on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack, interest in her early output was revived.
ROG is reissuing this classic and expanding it to include a
second LP of bonus tracks making their debut on vinyl.

LP PACKAGING
We package our LPs in a thick cardboard LP mailer.
We ALWAYS take the LP out of the jacket of 2nd hand items to
avoid any seam splitting that could occur in shipment.
We put the LP and the jacket in an LP plastic sleeve.
We do NOT open sealed LPs unless requested.
We cushion the LP in bubble wrap and use shipping tape
on all spines to protect the integrity of the box, and to
insure the safety of the contents. All this is included in
the low shipping price. We will clean your purchase on our
VPI machine if and when necessary. This insures that
you receive your item in the best possible condition.
LP SHIPPING
We offer the US Postal Service’s Media Mail and / or Priority
for shipping in the U.S. Buyer’s choice. The buyer pays the shipping,
packing (see above) and handling charges. Tracking is included
with both. We occasionally run domestic shipping specials .

Shipping to other countries is by the United States Postal
Service's First Class Mail International. Priority International
Is also available.
