This is an auction of a very rare limited edition pressing of - Arnold Schoenberg String Quartet no.1 in d minor Opus 7 recorded by the KOLISCH STRING QUARTET in 1937under the direction of Arnold Schoenberg. Schoenberg's music was banned by the Nazis while the Austrian Quartet was on tour and not allowed to return home. ALCO ALP 1002 mono and pressed on RED VINYL.

Record is visually graded as VG++ with NO spindle marks. PLAY TEST GRADED AS VG+ to VG++ with slight background crackle / hiss that might be expected with this vintage 1930's small edition pressing, mostly on side 1 . Cover is VG+ with some ring and edge wear.
