PlayTape: group of vintage Playtapes - 2-Track - Diana Ross Supremes Stevie Wonder, 4 Tops

Here is a group of vintage Playtapes. We are not experts in Playtapes- we will keep our description short and allow the photographs to be the best indication for interested bidders. These tapes look almost like 8-track tapes, but are smaller. Each one measures about 3 1/4 X 2 3/4 inches. There is a paper label on the one side. This has "Playtape" and then usually the musical artist and sometimes song titles. On the back, pressed into the black plastic, it has "Tape Made In U.S.A." and also "Processed In Japan". We have never seen this kind of tape before, so we are unsure about the exact vintage. Might have been before cassette tapes became popular. There are ten Playtapes in this group. The artists include The Temptations, The Four Tops, Diana Ross & the Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, David Ruffin, and The Impressions (there are two copies of the same Smokey Robinson tape, though the labels are different). The cases are in generally good to very good condition. Each tape in the group has its paper label, though some need to be glued back on. Some of the tapes look aligned in the cases, but a couple the tape is moved to one side or raised up slightly. Also there are small (foam?) pads underneath the actual tapes in the cases. Some of the tapes have the pads, but a few have some pads that have fallen off (we have some of the pads that have come loose, though may not be all). These tapes came with a vintage Playtape player (please see our other listings). We tried a few tapes with this player and each one seem to play- some better than others. We usually offer a return for every item we sell on eBay, but since these are vintage tapes and we do not know every aspect about them, the sale of these will be mostly as-is. If the buyer disagrees about the condition of the exterior of the tapes, then we would take a return. We hope that the photos will help those who are interested.
