Phono Cylinder: Grace Level 2 Phono Cartridge (F9 Upgrade)

Grace Level 2 Cartridge.

This is a holy grail of Grace cartridges. Extremely rare LEVEL II model from the late 80's. Comes with the best stylus profile in the universe (MicroRidge) mounted through a tiny laser etched hole in the Hollow Pipe Boron cantilever. Moving system has extremely low mass. This is a high compliance cartridge (42cu @10Hz) with amazing trackability and extended frequency response.

I purchased this NOS (New Old Stock) last year and paired it with a Grace 707 Tone Arm. It was a match made in Heaven and beat out a Grace F9 that I also had. The owner of Austin Stereo installed the cartridge and brought me to the back of the shop and we listened to records for an hour. He was freaking out how great it sounded. I’ve rarely listened to it as we mainly use CD’s or stream music. I recently decided to put my Empire record player back to original for display/nostalgia reasons, so it’s time to sell the 707 and this amazing cartridge. It’s rare, it’s super low hours, and I’m confident I’ll regret selling it. What you see in the photos is the actual Grace Cartridge.
