THIS AUCTION IS FOR 1LP and 2 singles
Elements Of Monolith & Mary Young (American band from 70's)
Psych/ Symphonic prog rock recording from 1978
Rare private pressings: one LP and two 45 RPM with picture sleeve
All the material of Monolith was originally written in 1977. In those years there was not neo prog, so psych progressive and symphonic prog are the only choices. The influence of Crimson, ELP, and Triumvirat are more than evident. An obscure album, Elements of Monolith exists and it was recorded in 1978. Its black and white jacket leads me to believe it was a very limited private pressing, the keyboardist primary influences are Emerson and Tony Banks. Two other recordings. singles with picture sleeves, surfaced in 1979. This is the first time all recordings of Monolith, in a never played, brand new condition, are offered in an auction.
