Description

Exceedingly scarce and highly collectible original vintage first printing concert poster advertising English jazz trombonist and bandleader Chris Barber (1930–2021) at the Deutsches Museum in Munich [Germany] on Friday, 8th November, 1968, with the Prager Dixieland Band also on the bill, and presented by Werner Götze and Ado Schlier. Barber’s band for the tour featured banjo player Stu Morrison, guitarist John Slaughter, bassist Jackie Flavelle, drummer Graham Burbidge, trumpeter Pat Halcox, and clarinestist John Crocker, and singer Ottilie Patterson. The poster features artwork by Klaus Wagner, with the artist’s imprint to the lower right side.

The poster measures 59.2 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3" by 33" inches) and is beautifully printed in purple and yellow inks on thin, uncoated paper stock. Printer’s imprint (Klein & Volbert, München) to the bottom right corner. In near excellent unfolded condition, ready to frame.
