This is part of a big auction of Checker & Chess 45's I'm running this week. There are lots of rarities and few Chicago-area surprise items here. Take a look at these and keep an eye out for a V ee-Jay/DeLuxe Records auction starting 6/12 and King/Federal auction in late June.
Here's the info on this item:
Release : Jimmy Reed - High & Lonesome / Roll & Rhumba
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Notes : Absolute monster here. Original Chance pressing. Jimmy Reed's first single, originally issued as the first VJ disc, but picked up by Chance for sale outside of Chicago as a favor for the fledgling Vee-Jay and very few were sold. Two great blues tracks with Side B being a killer instrumental.
Vinyl Condition : VG+, great looking vinyl. Very clean with just a couple of tiny stray shallow marks. Tested - plays great and sounds great. A hint of light crackle in spots, but nothing that approaching being distracting or overpowering. Music comes through clean and clear. Crackle in runoff. Labels are very clean as well with some ring scuffing on side B. Side A looks nice, but has a circle/kiss shaped wrinkle at the top. Very strong copy overall and a rare chance to own a high grade copy of this grail.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
