Cassette: Rage Against The Machine 91 demo tape Atlantic Records promo different versions

According to Zach, this is the rarest version of the famed Rage demo tape.

To paraphrase what he told me: There was a bidding war to sign Rage. Atlantic Records wanted to make it seem like they had sealed the deal, so they started manufacturing the tape without the band's consent. Quickly when the band found out they went to the label, straight up took the boxes of tapes, and dipped. He specifically told me as he was holding this tape in the shop, "this is crazy rare! I don't even have one!!!"

In addition to the rarity, and insane energy of this band, what blew me away most when I played this tape was that nothing they played was on accident. All of Tom's crazy sounds were completely intentional and were so similar to the album version we all know, but just slightly different enough to know this chaos was completely controlled.
