Vinyl: YESTERDAY’S CHILDREN LP- Map City MP-3012-VG+

I looked inside of the cover to see if there was any light shining through the edges and there are two spots on the top of the outer cover sleeve,,,, one is about 3 inches long (center top of cover) showing light shining through and another spot about one inch long showing light shining through and in just about the center of the 3 inch long spot there is a visible split in the paper about three quarters of an inch long .. It is just the way the cover was assembled when manufactured but the split in the paper is from the age of the LP (47 Years). I included a photo of this split.

This recording of the band YESTERDAY’S CHILDREN was produced by me and my good friend and best ever recording engineer Warren Schatz. The recording sessions as well as the mixing of this album were done at Associated Recording Studios, N.Y.C. The sessions began on January 05, 1970 .....and ....... the sessions were finished on July 09, 1970 .....Mixing was completed on July 17, 1970 and the tapes were mastered and the final LP was cut at Mastertone in NYC on July 23, 1970. The test pressings were picked up at Map City Records by me and Warren on August 06, 1970 and that is the actual story........

This VG+ 1st pressing of the Map City MP-3012 release was in my own personal collection. I have my own personal copy which I play but I am not selling that one.

The inner dust sleeve is a bit yellow with age but the cover and LP itself are VG+.and the LP was never played. The label is not a white promotional label but the back of the album cover has a promotion sticker that says NOT FOR SALE. These were actual copies that I received from Map City Records when the album was released and as being promotional copies they were not shrink wrapped. The Pictures on eBay are of the actual album I have for sale.

For your information the track OF “EVIL WOMAN’ was recorded on January 20, 1970. The vocals were added on January 22, 1070. The completed track of “EVIL WOMAN” was mixed on January 26, 1970…… On January 28, 1070 MAP CITY RECORDS signed the group to a record deal……..On February 26 1970 the track of “WHAT OF I” was recorded….…On March 12, 1970 the vocals were added….On March 18, 1970 the vocals were completed and the track was mixed…….On April 09, 1970 the single was mastered in stereo and mono at Mastertone.

The single “EVIL WOMAN” “WHAT OF I” was released soon afterwards on MAP CITY RECORDS catalog number MC-304
