AC/DC: Live At Donington (Blu-ray) [Regions 2,4] [Blu-ray] - DVD - New

Rating:

When AC/DC came crashing through the gates of Castle Donington in August of 1991, they were headlining their third Monsters Of Rock" festival at the fabled venue. They proceeded to assault the massive audience with a two hour set chock-full of their greatest hits and an over-the-top visual spectacle that included firing cannons, the hells bell and a giant inflatable Rosie. Filmed in 35mm Panavision with 26 cameras (including a helicopter), AC/DC Live At Donington is a guaranteed pantfiller! As well as all the classic tracks like 'Back In Black', 'You Shook Me All Night Long', 'Let There Be Rock', 'Highway To Hell', 'For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)' there is new audio commentary from Angus and Malcolm Young to keep you from doing anything practical!

Performer Notes:
  • Filmed at The Castle Donnington Festival on August 17, 1991.
  • Taken from their Razor's Edge world tour and filmed in 1991, Live at Donington is the best video AC/DC has yet to offer. Yes, fans will be pleased to know that all the classics are here, from "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" to "Jailbreak." The band really plays well, and singer Brian Johnson contributes to keeping the show interesting with his vocals and actions. Probably the best thing about Live at Donington is that it, like its album release, it's packed with thrice as much energy than the band ever placed on their original studio cuts. Live at Donington is a video that AC/DC fans should be interested in, especially if they have never seen or heard the band perform live. [Sony released a Blu-Ray edition in 2007.] ~ Barry Weber
