The Beatles Please, Please Me 4th fourth pressing mono vinyl LP E J Day sleeve

‘The Parlophone Co.’ but no ‘sold in the UK’ on the label text. Large ‘mono’ on front cover. PMC 1202 Cat no. XEX 422.

‘Printed and made by Ernest J Day’ on rear right-hand side of sleeve.

Front photo credited to Angus McBean with ‘A’ of Angus starting under the second‘S’ of songs.

The cover is in v good condition (see photos and detailed grading details below) and the writing on the spine is clearly legible. Comes in protective plastic cover.

The record is conservatively graded ‘v good’ (see detailed grading details below).

The side label is blemish free but side 2 has wafer thin fine one inch long mark through it (see photos).

I also have other rare and collectible Beatles LPs including A Collection of Oldies, Yellow Submarine, Hard Days Night and Rubber Soul (see listings).

I will consider reasonable offers for one or a selection of the LPs for combined postage.

International buyers welcome but postage prices will vary. I'm afraid I cannot send to Russia or countries that do not offer tracked postage.

I will consider sending un-tracked international postage to keep costs down but this is at the buyer's risk and I accept no liability for the item's loss or damage in transit.

I use the Record Collector’s Guide (see below) although none of the vinyl is graded by playing as I don’t have a record player – hence the lower prices than dealers for all my records.

All of my records are posted in the first available post. I also accept returns if the record differs from the description but please contact me directly first.

If you buy than 1 LP add 50p postage to each extra vinyl. Please note: Postage prices take account of the fact that ebay charge a fee for postage.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

" MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
