'A Question of Balance' is an essential album by The Moody Blues. Released on Lp in August of 1970, it spent an incredible 74 weeks on the Billboard charts...a considerable achievement. Recorded in a matter of weeks, the album had an amazing push due to the extraordinary single, 'Question' written by Justin Hayward; a song that is always performed by the band at live shows to this day. Produced by the late, great Tony Clarke, all the songs on the album are blended together seamlessly and create a cinematic and meditative ambiance for the listener, a common trait with virtually all The Moodies albums released between 1967 and 1972.

In 1997, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab released an audiophile version (UDCD 737) on 24kt Gold Disc to add even more dimension to the already great sonics. Though several excellent digital versions had been released previously and more were to come, the version on offer here, is the ONLY one that has been transferred using the original 2-track British stereo masters. The sound is warm, rich and perfectly balanced....one of Mobile Fidelity's most desirable titles.
