Vintage Original Woodstock 1969 Soundtrack Boxed Cassette Tape Set
Among the several items obtained from long-time residents having moved out of a life-long White Lake NY home in the town of Bethel. They were at the Woodstock Festival in 1969 and have retained a few souvenirs in memory of this historic event. They lived just down the road from the original site and would frequent the site many times every summer until their move. This is the original first-release cassette-tape version of the Woodstock movie vinyl album. It features the groups listed along with other significant events from the 3-4 days in 1969. Made by Atlantic Records on Ampex equipment. Tape No. 1 has been played only once or twice and is excellent. Tape No. 2 is still in cellophane and unused. Outer wrapped cardboard container had swiveled from its grommets on an early retail display that featured so-called cassette-tape boxed sets. This set was purchased at the time of its first release in 70 or 71 following Mike Wadleigh’s movie. The original owner tells us, “Listen carefully. If you were there, you’ll remember this.
