The Beatles - Parlophone P-PCS 7067/8 1st UK Stereo Decca/False Decca *Export* Press Complete with all 4 pictures, die-cut black inner sleeves, poster and spacer. No 528904.

This is the Decca/False Decca press with the pressing ring on both discs.

This is the Beatles most mysterious record and very few have ever come up for sale. It is an ultra rare Yellow and Black Parlophone Export press but with a Decca style pressing ring on both discs. It is not known if this was pressed by Decca in the UK under contract or pressed in Jamaica with UK parts (and labels) for the West Indies. Those in the market for such a wonderful record will have their own opinion but for what it’s worth, the evidence that it is a Jamaican record is more compelling but what do I know - have a google for yourself!

This is a stunning, and very rare, export copy of a great record.

Media (Play Tested): Disc One-VG. Disc Two-VG+. Both play VG+. Both discs sit completely flat with no warping. Nice playing surface that retains a lovely sheen and sounds great with little surface noise, even during the quietest parts. There are surface marks across both discs that prevent a higher grading but none are feelable. The labels are very clean with the Decca style pressing rings.

Sleeve: VG+. Clean with some very slight age discolouration. It has very clean flip backs and good corners and sides. The number is incredibly clear and the embossed The Beatles has no visible laminate lift at all. There are marks on the sleeve and some creasing. The spine is fully intact but has creases, both ‘The Beatles’ and the Mono and Stereo catalogue numbers are clear and undamaged.

Inner Sleeve/Inserts/Poster/Spacer: VG+/EX+/VG+/EX. All original black inner sleeve with no tears at the die cuts or splits on the seams though the records have been stored in anti-static sleeves. The Photos are originals and look like they have never left the sleeve. The poster has age related discolouration and is weakened at the folds, and is beginning to split. The spacer sits completely flat and has no marks or creases but does have some light discolouration.

What can I say about this record that you haven’t already read? I will just say that this is a great complete package.
