TRAFFIC

Steve Winwood

Jim Capaldi

Chris Wood

Rick Grech

Formed in England in 1967, Traffic was the seminal art rock band of the era. Temporarily suspended in 1969 by Steve Winwood when he formed the supergroup Blind Faith, which lasted only six months, the members regrouped in early 1970 (minus Dave Mason and with Blind Faith alum, multi-instrumentalist Rick Grech) to record a new set of songs and tour on the strength of Traffic's most successful album yet, John Barleycorn Must Die.

These are the songs performed at the Fillmore East in New York City on Nov. 18, 1970, a Wednesday evening:

Medicated Goo Pearly Queen Empty Pages

Heaven Is In Your Mind 40,000 Headmen

John Barleycorn (a traditional English folk song that dates back to at least the 16th century)

Who Knows What Tomorrow May Bring?

Every Mother's Son Glad Freedom

Freedom Rider Means To An End Dear Mr Fantasy

Well over an hour of crisply recorded live classic English art rock
