very rare disc of the first cantor Archon Protopsaltis of the greek orthodox Great Church of Christ in Istanbul/Constantinople, Iakovos Nafpliotis (1864-1942)
one of the first to record Greek Orthodox Byzantine chant onto records.

very beautiful chant, many musical ties to other relgious chants from the region, Sufi zikr and sama' in Turkey etc...

Disc: EX beautiful clean disc, sound is excellent, grooves are in top shape
