Beatles Blu-Ray, Hi Resolution Surround Sound, Help, Audiophile
This Blu-Ray disk has DTS HD Master Audio (Blu-Ray Audio) for Help in 24-96 hi resolution, 7.1 surround sound. This is Hi Resolution AUDIO ONLY, it is NOT a movie. You need a Blu-Ray player to play this, it will not play on a DVD or CD player. This Blu-Ray will play in all countries (it is "region free").

I have not seen this in the USA or anywhere outside Japan, so it is probably a test mix to follow up on the success of the Sgt Pepper 5.1 release. Ebayers in Japan are selling this same rare item for $99 - $169 (search Beatles 7.1 or Beatles 5.1).

This surround version has backup vocals separated from the main vocals, while the original stereo version has both vocals in the same channel. These vocals could not have been separated without access to the master tapes at Abbey Road.

This is a Blu-Ray promo. Note that promos are not commercially mass produced, and usually lack writing on the disk. Please refer to the pictures to see exactly what you are getting, as there are NO REFUNDS. Bidders should understand that this is a rare promo with no writing on the disk, and not a mass produced commercial item.

This Blu-Ray has the "original 1965 Stereo" mix thought to be long lost. It is noticeably different from the common stereo mix. The instruments are panned further left and further right, creating a wider soundstage. The regular stereo sounds "closed in" by comparison.

There are 4 hi resolution audio playback options available:

DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 channel Surround (24bit-96KHz)
DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo (24bit-192KHz)
DTS-HD Master Audio Mono (24bit-192KHz)
DTS-HD Master Audio “original 1965 Stereo” (24bit-192KHz)

The beauty of the Beatles' harmonies, and the genius of George Martin's production, really shine through in surround sound. Things that were previously "buried in the mix" become amazingly clear.

Where you thought there was one guitar, there are 2 or 3 guitars. Where you thought there was one voice, there are a few voices. Ticket to Ride and Help are incredible in surround.

Check my feedback and bid with confidence. Good luck!
